Organic Oyster

The organic oysters are farmed on the same ponds as the shrimps, in an integrated culture system. They feed by filtering phytoplankton from the water and their taste reflect the health of our environment.

PRIMAR produces in its laboratory the seeds of the native oyster Crassostrea gasar. These seeds placed into our culture ponds are monitored from hatchery until commercialization and present full traceability throughout the entire cultivation process.

PRIMAR sells fresh, alive and depured organic oysters to the local market.

Purification is the last step in the production of this animal, which consists of immersing the oysters in ultra-filtered brackish water for 12 to 24 hours, to empty the intestinal tract and increase food safety.

The quality control of the water in the crops is periodically monitored by laboratory analyses.
